The evening’s presentation was “Getting to Know You” and Chuck Brockway was the MC.

Our first speaker was Elizabeth Rusnak: Elizabeth was the sixth child of eight. Her dad was in the army so they moved around. She played the viola in 5th grade and as it turns out, her husband was also in the orchestra as of that school – but that is not where they met. Elizabeth and Chris met later in life and married in 1990. They were the host family for three different foreign exchange students who they continue to keep in touch with. Elizabeth has been involved in SBA lending for over 21 years. Dan Bartel was her sponsor.

Our next speaker was John Pruitt: John decided to make us play a “True/False” game with his slide show and that was a very fun way to give his presentation. As scribe, I was able to take away that he was not in the Navy – his wife reminds him of Angelina Jolie – he travels quite a bit – and his passion is helping others with valuations, mergers and acquisitions.

Scott Rethke was our third speaker: I think the main topic here was “TMI”. However, as an objective observer, I have recorded all information for dissemination. Scott has a beautiful wife (admitting he married way out of his league) and an 11 month old. As a financial planner, Scott tries to help others – especially when it comes to their finances and future security. His mantra has and always will be to have fun. He likes whiskey – beer – poker – golfing – reading and fly fishing. He has an unusual collection – he collects divots when he is golfing at a new course – he takes the divot home and plants it in his yard. Currently, he has over 250 different golf course grasses growing in his yard. Besides his love of grass, he also likes to smoke a pipe – the combination of grass and pipe alerted Police Chief Eric Olsen to end Scott’s presentation and inform him of his rights.

After Scott Rethke was properly mirandized, he was the lucky raffle winner and attempted to draw the joker – instead he found the four of clubs and won $10.

With that, President Brandon adjourned the meeting.
