Announcements.

Steve Shinstrom reminded everyone about Red, White & Blue Bunco on November 5th.  An email sign up will be coming around as he will be out of town for the next two meetings.

Patty Smith needs griddles and cooks for the Christmas/Holiday kids shopping extravaganza that is in the works for December 17th.  Bob Auslander generously donated $5000 to this event so the kids will be able to shop for presents.  Terry Cole and his group need as many Santa helpers as possible for the morning of shopping at Fred Meyer and Dan Bartel is working feverously on growing his beard to be Santa for the event.

Ben Premack said we need committed volunteers for the 11/12 Treehouse Work Party n Seattle.  Please contact Ben to add your name to the list.

Rich Bergdahal is back in the game and has his front desk crew started.  He would like more volunteers and has a great start with Himself, Don Dicks, Dave Aubry, Patti Smith and Rick O?  (I didn't get all the names.)  He would like a committee of 8 or more so that no one person is stuck for long periods of time at the front desk.  He will also get the new members their 4 weeks on the front desk as a great way to meet all the members.

HAPPY DOLLARS:  Rick Walter did his usual successful room antics and we as usual had many happy Rotarians.

INDUCTION:
It was another great day for the Rotary Club of Kirkland as Rich Bergdahl inducted our newest member, Jodi Long.  She is sponsored by Amy Mutal and will be mentored by Rich Bergdahl.  JOdi is a Kirkland Rsident and a Real Estate Broker for Realty One Group.  She is a WSU grad.   WELCOME to the club JODI!!!.

PROGRAM:
Sharon Purcell from Concure Oncology was our speaker for the evening.   Fascinating toping on Breast Cancer Microseed implants.  Similar concept for what oncologists have been doing with prostate cancer for years.  Lost of statistics but it is a one, hour, one time process with a very positive set of results for the patients.  Here is a link for lots of additional information.  http://www.breastmicroseed.com/

Meeting adjourned about 7:40

Scribe for an evening... Steve
