Rotary Golf Tournament

The day turned out to be sunny and warm for the annual golf tournament held at the Golf Club at Echo Falls. This was a new venue for us and everyone I spoke to really enjoyed the course and the amenities.  The shot gun start and the delicious buffet validated our decision!

First Place - Brandon Honcoop, Dave DeBois, Scott Rethke, Nelson Bryant-Repeat winners

Second Place- Bill Woods, Don Dicks, Jim Feek, Gary Justice (only one stroke behind)

Third Place - Chuck Brockway, Bob Brockway, Sam Brockway, Nathaniel Brockway- yes they allowed 4 Brockways on the course all at the same time!!

Last Place - presented with Crying Towels - Tom Sturgell, Sue Sturgell, John Woodbury, Gary Bruner.

The Anitque Monkey (now 50 years old) was presented by Bill Woods to Brandon Honcoop.  Bill explained that while his foursome was putting, Brandon walked onto the green to retreive a keepsake ball marker he had left behind. Bill muttered something about young golfers don't know anything about golf etiquette. 

 Kudos to all our sponsors and especially to Rick Walter, Brandon Honcoop and Brian Tucker. They collected a bounty of prizes that made the Speed Shopping a success.  Thanks to Weber Metals, RBC, Banner Bank, Sterling Savings, Regence Blue Shield.

 We had a special drawing for high end items dontated by Rick Walter:  Mariner's tickets won by Ernie Norehad, a costmetics basket won by Anne Hamilton and a mobile car detail won by Nathaniel Brockway. Echo Falls dontated a round of golf for two. It's not surprising but I can't remember who won that prize.
