An update on the activities and plans for Helen's Place

Dietra Clayton is the managing executive director of The Sophia Way, and will share updates about the organization's activities in 2023  and touch upon its journey as The Sophia Way celebrates its 15th anniversary. She will also share her vision of the organization's mission and programs in 2024.

Dietra's expertise spans the entire continuum of care, with a focus on in-home caregiving, support for individuals with disabilities, those affected by HIV, and compassionate care for individuals facing psychiatric challenges. Embarking on her journey with The Sophia Way in 2017 as a part-time, on-call shelter worker, Dietra quickly developed a deep connection with the organization and its impactful work. Recognizing her commitment and leadership qualities, she was appointed director of client services and shelter programs in 2019. In this role, she successfully led a dynamic team of 20, overseeing all facets of programming, services, provider support, and advocacy for individuals experiencing homelessness. In 2021, Dietra assumed the position of managing executive director. Under her leadership, the organization continues to make significant strides in its mission to provide essential services and support to women in need of shelter and stability.
