Brig. Gen. Robert Reese (Ret.)
Honoring lifetimes of veterans' strength and devotion to families and community through photography

Retired Brigadier General Robert Reese will describe his recent work and commitment to the process of creating distinctive photographs capturing the essence of very senior veterans, people who are sometimes-overlooked Americans.  He’ll share his experiences photographing these veterans in their later years, and why he believes they deserve a reverential look at the lifetime of strength and love they have given their families and community. Bob has committed time and talent to making high quality images reflecting the character that lies beneath their physical features, demonstrating the eyes of these experienced Americans tell the story of their lives.

Bob Reese devoted himself to a career of service in the U.S. Army, ultimately serving as the commanding general of the White Sand Missile Range in New Mexico, and subsequently in the Pacific Northwest as chief operating officer and executive vice president of the Volunteers of America Western Washington in Everett.  Bob has also volunteered in numerous capacities with the Veterans Assistance Fund Executive Board, Partnership to End Homelessness Board, Everett Public Schools Foundation, Connected Communities, Big Brothers Big Sisters, city of Everett Mayor’s Diversity Advisory Board, and as a member of the Rotary Club of Everett.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Science in Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master of Military Art and Science from the  School of Advanced Military Studies, and most recently an Associate of Fine Arts in Photography from Everett Community College.
