On Saturday, April 18th, the Rotary Club of Kirkland spent the day at Kirkland Marina Park to participate in the Day Out for Autism and support the amazing Washington Autism Alliance.
The Day Out for Autism featured a Sensory Sensitive Resource Fair and a 3k walk/move your way.
The weather was great, all the participants had great activities focusing on sensory stimulation, and the event was well attended. The Rotary Club of Kirkland gave away Hot Wheels, colorful Play-Doh, and Autism Barbie dolls.
Whether at the Rotary Club of Kirkland's booth or volunteering as a greeter, the opportunity to speak with everyone was extremely touching and fun at the same time.
We are already looking forward to next year's event!
