On Monday, June 15th, 2026, the Rotary Club of Kirkland held its Rotary Leadership Transition Dinner & Ceremony at the Prosecco Restaurant and Pizzeria.

There was a large gathering of current and past members, as well as various guests and prospective members.

Great mood, friendly and cheerful conversations, on a backdrop of good food and drinks, it was off to a good start.

Rick Walter stood at the podium and took us down memory lane to recount the year which went by in a blur. With his usual humor and unavoidable emotion (shared by all across the room), he went through a long list of the most memorable events, moments, and contributions from the Rotary Club of Kirkland. And what a year it has been!

It is always heartwarming, humbling, and amazing to see how the actions of relatively few people, at a seemingly small scale, impact the lives of so many for a lifetime, and how it compounds…

Rick awarded the “Rotarian of the Year” award to Angela Pritchett, club secretary, volunteer, and helper of all trades.

Rick also thanked all contributing members for their role in that past year.

Last, and certainly not least, the past presidents lined up and handed over the gavel all the way to Jocelyn, who will be the Rotary Club of Kirkland President for the coming year.

All in all, a great evening to cap a great year. Thank you everyone for all you do as members of, or in association with, the Rotary Club of Kirkland.
