On Monday, June 1st, 2026, the Rotary Club of Kirkland held the first in-person meeting of this month at the Prosecco Restaurant & Pizzeria. Congratulations to all the scholars.
The meeting was well-attended, cheerful, and lively, with many guests and prospective members. After the four-way test, we covered the usual agenda topics: a recap of the various committees –community services, international services, youth services, auction and gala, etc.– the Rotary moment, and of course the raffle! But the meeting’s main event was the Rotary Scholarship Award Ceremony.
Each year, the Rotary Club of Kirkland, Washington awards scholarships to local students for their higher education at accredited institutions in the state of Washington. These scholarships recognize students for a variety of achievements and are designed to support students with financial need and academic promise, and who demonstrate service to their communities. You can read more about the Rotary Club of Kirkland's scholarship program here: https://www.kirklandrotary.org/sitepage/kirkland-rotary-scholarships.
The students selected this year are talented academically, enthusiastic, and already demonstrate how to be a positive driving force for their peer students and the community, through multiple outlets in and outside of their respective high schools.
Well done to Sanjana Medikurthi, Cambria Ballew, Ryan Brackett, Marlin Wong, and Aimal Samir. You deserve it!
