The club’s board of directors met on Thursday evening, August 15, 2024 at the Brezza Condominium in downtown Kirkland. Highlights included discussion about the status of outstanding club dues payments, status of rummage sale revenue and expenses, status of venue research, approval of the new youth protection policy, changes in board positions, and reports from various officers and committee chairs.

Directors reviewed a draft income statement for the rummage sale, noting the areas of expense escalation and revenue fall-off resulting in a greater loss for the second year; agreed on holding a meeting in September at Kabab House, and then another meeting at the Eagles on the next Monday to select one of those at which meetings have been held; adopted the Rotary District 5030 Youth Protection Policy 2024-2025; received with regret the resignation of Michelle Cazeau from the treasurer position effective the end of August; and elected Cody Baker as chair of the Great Kirkland Rotary Rummage Sale Steering Committee for 2024-2025. Directors also reviewed and discussed the results of both the venue and rummage sale surveys.
