The club’s board of directors met on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Brezza Condominium. Highlights included approving for recommendation to membership four of the six prospective members in the ClubRunner Membership Success system, and establishing the 2023-2024 rummage sale steering committee membership.The treasurer reported on the transition process, the progress in setting up QuickBooks Online, a recommendation to put fidelity insurance in place, and a plan to ladder several $5,000 certificates of deposit for improved interest income during the year, which the board approved. The board discussed the purpose of Happy Bucks and Joker Pool, and confirmed the revenue would be directed to club operations unless the membership decides on a special purpose during a meeting.
The board reviewed the status of member responses to the Madison House venue survey; completed the past-president meeting leadership plan for the in-person meetings when the president is out-of-state; decided not to nominate anyone for district governor; approved an updated red-to-blue badge requirement list; ; and approved a $500 gift to the Kamiakin PTSA to be presented when school is back in session. The board also decided to ask the membership to determine whether to continue meeting at Madison House after the speaker concludes on August 21.
