The Rotary Club of Kirkland Board of Directors' nominating committee, this year comprising the vice president, Kate Koslosky, and past presidents Gary Cohn and Rick Ostrander, reported on its work to nominate a slate of officers and other directors for Rotary year 2025-2026. The committee is responsible under the bylaws for organizing a proposed slate of officers and directors for the forthcoming year. The slate will consist of the president-elect, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and members of the board of directors who are chairs of the avenues of service committees, the membership chair, and the programs chair. Normally, the president-elect automatically becomes president, and the president automatically becomes the immediate past-president. In accordance with the club's bylaws, a slate of officers should be presented to the club at the annual meeting, which occurs concurrently with the holiday party on December 16.

Due to the vacancy in the vice president role, and some absences of board members for medical treatment, the board tentatively approved an "acceleration" of positions to avoid a vacancy in the office of president next year. In addition, several officers have agreed (or were drafted) to serve another year in the position they hold this year. Below see the preliminary proposal for officers, pending agreement of members to fill two positions and an online approval by the board in advance of the annual meeting.
