The club’s board of directors covered a large list of topics during its meeting this week. One of the discussions addressed meeting punctuality, content, and organization. Directors heard comments praising the Zoom break-out sessions, and expressing concern at some meetings' late starts and late adjournments, irrespective of how good the speakers have been lately. As a result, club leadership recommitting to the following sequence and timing for meeting agendas.
Here is the plan President James intends to follow each Monday evening:
5:50 – Zoom meeting is open
6:15-6:20 – Call to order, pledge of allegiance, welcome remarks
6:20-6:30 – Break out session or secondary program
6:30-6:40 – Club business/Happy Dollars
6:40-7:10 – Program and questions
7:10-7:15 – Concluding announcements
7:15 – Meeting adjournment
Meeting on Zoom is considerably different from meeting at the Woodmark, and club members’ contributions to crisp conduct and informative content is particularly important to maintaining interest in meetings that don't include the delight of in-person social interaction that is a hallmark of Rotary gatherings.
