The Rotary Club of Kirkland held a brief in-person meeting at St John’s Episcopal Church on Monday, December 16, 2024 as part of its Holiday Gift-Wrapping and Gala.  The purpose of the meeting was to elect a slate of officers for the club’s next Rotary year, beginning in June 2025.

Past President Joanne Primavera acted as president, calling the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.  She began by thanking the many people who organized, supported, and carried out our successful gift-buying event Saturday, December 14, at Fred Meyer in Kirkland.  She also thanked many people for organizing and decorating the Wrapping Event and Gala December 16.  Among those thanked were Terry Cole, Doug Evanson, Alice Volpe, all the shoppers, etc.  It was also pointed out by her audience that Ms. Primavera deserved thanks for bringing order (and wrapping materials) to this evening’s event.

Rick Ostrander reminded everyone to turn in their receipts for the shopping event and he would get checks out to everyone.

There being present a quorum of the club's membership, Ms. Primavera called our attention to the list of candidates for next year’s club officers and asked for any comments or nominations from the floor.  There being no further nominations or comments, David Aubry moved and Rashmi Garimela seconded that the slate of candidates be approved by the membership.  All present voted in favor of approval of the slate, and the candidates were thereby elected to office.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

David Aubry
