The club’s board of directors met on February 18. Highlights included preparations for the upcoming Valentine's Day Sweetheart Night; accounting and designation challenges presented when members use the Dues & Billing system instead of the Donations page for donations; progress of plans for the Duck Dash as the annual fund-raiser next year; progress of the president-elect in forming a new board for 2021-22.In addition, March's speaker series highlighting international programs is near completion; the club is one donation away from achieving the Rotary International 100% participation goal; discussion of membership recruiting plans for the next year and challenges presented by Zoom resulted in consensus to delay recruiting until we resume in-person meetings; and the scholarship program, which is now fully online, needs interview volunteers. Rotarians may view this month’s board meeting minutes and those of prior meetings on the Board Minutes page, which requires a log-in. A link also may be found at the bottom of the Spokesman.
