The club’s board of directors met on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Meeting Hall in downtown Kirkland, and with the Zoom platform. Highlights included briefings on account balances, dues payment status, status of rummage sale sponsorship collections, draft budget revisions, status of venue research, and reports from various officers and committee chairs.The board adopted the Rotary Club of Kirkland Annual Budget for 2024-2025, approved Resolution 2024-01 designating the officers with authority to access the club's banking accounts, and approved appointments of two Rotarians to vacant officer positions in 2024-2025.
Directors approved a proposal to establish a club executive secretary/director position to manage various aspects of the club’s digital platforms (e.g., ClubRunner, MyRotary, DACdb) to keep them updated and in alignment, and sent the proposed bylaws revision to the membership for consideration of approval.
The board meeting schedule for 2024-2025 is published in the club's Calendar. The next board meeting is expected to be held on July 18. The board prefers to return to in-person meetings as often as possible, but this may depend upon who is presiding at various meetings. Locations and Zoom links will be published in the Calendar.
