Program:

District Governor Cathy Gibson presented the program. Gov. Gibson described the highlights and disappointments of her year as DG, with considerable emphasis on the highlights. She described the district’s work program successes, the phenomenal growth in membership (190) despite the pandemic, the stability or growth in membership of 20 clubs in the district and the creation of two additional single focus clubs. Gov. Gibson discussed the district’s investment in the Rotary brand, and in elevated promotion via website, social media, and even on buses in the region. She described her experience with other district governors at the Rotary International president’s theme reveal, and how the international organization and the district organization have expanded their major areas of focus in the past year. She also noted that the Rotary Club of Kirkland is close to winning goal achievement recognition, and congratulated President James on his leadership and the achievement of an Every Rotarian Every Year award. Gov. Gibson took questions for several minutes, and concluded the program with an invitation to all to attend the District Conference in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. President James thanked the district governor, and she received two rounds of applause for her program and her service to Rotary.

President James rang the bell at 7:10 p.m. and the meeting was adjourned.
