Rotary Club of Kirkland's Student of the Month for February, Sanjana Medikurthi, will visit with membership the evening of the February 3 meeting. As a junior from Lake Washington High School who is a full-time Running Start student and training to be a medical assistant, Sanjana plans to major in neuroscience with a minor in data science, with the goal of attending medical school in the future.
Her goal is to host medical camps in underserved areas worldwide, bringing care to those who need it most. She believes change isn’t a one-person effort—it’s a shared responsibility. By motivating those around her to take action, she wants to build something bigger than herself—something that lasts.
Sanjana is involved in several projects with the Red Cross, is an intern at Harvard’s Innovation Lab, and also serves as the HOSA1 president at the WANIC2 chapter.
This drive led her to found WAVE Seattle, where she serves as Founder and President, leading efforts to raise over $16,200 for pediatric cancer research. She sees each accomplishment as a step toward uplifting others and is eager to continue this journey, leaving a lasting impact on her community and beyond.

HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
