PROGRAM  Chris Carlyle, Seattle Seahawks Coach for Strength and Conditioning was our speaker.  He has been a football coach for many years (and other sports years ago).  He started in a junior college in Tennessee, then moved to the University of Tennessee where he won a national championship.  Nine years ago he moved to University of Southern California (USC) under Coach Pete Carroll and moved with Coach Carroll to the Seattle Seahawks in 2010.
Chris presented in depth how believing one can be successful in anything he wants if he concentrates on the goal full time.  He then gave many examples in many sports including the first 4 minute mile, a new broad jump world record, and others.  He said to all of us "Decide what you want to do, THEN DO IT!!!"  His talk ended with a series of slides showing many athletes who have been successful with this effort.
