Program Topic:  Getting Out of Gridlock

Speaker:  Jim Bak, Director of Community Relations for INRIX, Inc.

Jim leads INRIX in their effort to raise awareness for their traffic services as well as builds relationships with key members of the communities the company serves.  INRIX develops high tech software platforms to show traffic flow on major routes as well as smaller arterial roads.  These programs allow drivers to see what would be the best route to take to get to a specific destination, including the best time of day to go.  INRIX collects data from various sources and updates their information within minutes, in order to give the driver an accurate reading.  The data comes from Observations (helicopters or cameras), Sensors embedded in the roads, and Crowd Sources (cellular phone data).  The objective is to give Real Time traffic flow with current conditions.

There was no Joker Pool drawing.  Meeting adjourned by President-Elect Patti at 7:45 p.m.
