Based on dues and insurance premium estimates from Rotary International, the Rotary Club of Kirkland Board of Directors has set the annual dues amount for 2025-2026. Rotarians' dues statements for 2025-2026 will be published on June 1, 2025, and are due by June 30, 2025.A minor increase in overall dues were driven by the rise in the Rotary International dues, and an estimated 10% increase in the club's premium for insurance coverage through Rotary International. The annual amount of the RI increase is $3.50, and the insurance premium rise is estimated at just under 75ยข. The district has not responded to inquiries regarding an increase for this year, so a cushion of an additional $1.00 for the district is included in the total dues. The Rotarian magazine subscription is not expected to increase next year. Two years ago, the board committed to keep the local club dues level for three years, barring unforeseen emergencies. This is the third year of that commitment.
The annual dues total, including the amounts for Rotary International, Rotary District 5030, the club, The Rotarian magazine, and the recommended donation to the Rotary International Foundation to earn the "Every Rotarian Every Year" designation, comes to $420.00, an annual increase of $5.00. Corporate and spouse/partner dues are $645.00 and $163.00 respectively.
The club's bylaws provide that members who do not pay dues by the due date will be dropped from membership. Of course, members who are dropped can be reinstated upon payment of dues, but the membership is interrupted. Note that Rotary International and the District charge the club based on membership as of July 1, with no options for refunds for members who do not renew subsequent to July 1. The club can not obtain a refund of the dues paid to RI if a member chooses not to renew membership, but doesn't inform the club before July 1.
Rotarians will be able to pay online, the same as last year. Dues statements will be produced by the ClubRunner system and sent to members in an email, similar to how Rotarians receive meeting announcements and the club's bulletin, The Spokesman.
Because the online system includes acceptance of credit and debit cards, again this year club members will be able to pay dues with a credit or debit card through the Rotary Club of Kirkland website. Each statement has a "PAY NOW" link that takes the member to an online payment page that accepts credit cards. Please remember to use the statement payment link only for payment of dues.
Rotarians may make donations through the online system. For example, Happy Bucks contributions (those made prior to receiving a statement), Auction sponsorships, Rotary International Foundation contributions, and other "non-invoiced" payments may be made through this Donate page. Of course, Rotarians may still make payments and contributions by check or cash at a dinner meeting (unless noticed otherwise), or with a check through the U.S. Mail.
Each individual active Rotarian's dues invoice totaling $420, including a recommended donation to the Rotary International Foundation, will display the components listed below. If any Rotarian would like to receive a paper copy of his or her dues invoice, please send the treasurer an email (click on the blue link) to request a paper copy.
