Hello! My name is Emily Le and I graduated from Juanita High School in 2020. I am currently a sophomore at the UW Seattle and my major is Informatics with a concentration in Human Computer Interaction (HCI). I am passionate about creating inclusive and accessible technology and this major allows me to pursue that! The past 2 years have been incredible as I have gained many new experiences like learning how to code! One of my biggest accomplishments was winning my first hackathon in May!

Last year, I joined Chi Omega Fraternity, a women’s organization where I held a leadership position and Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. One of my favorite experiences was going to my first college football game in September and rooting for the Dawgs! However, there definitely has been challenges as most of my college experience last year was on Zoom and getting adjusted to a virtual learning environment was hard. But, this current school year has been in person and I am absolutely loving it! I just wanted to thank the Rotary Club of Kirkland for awarding me a scholarship as it has allowed me to go to college, gain these amazing experiences, and further my education and career. Thank you so much!
