Hello, my name is Nelly, and I am a student at the University of Washington in Seattle studying biochemistry. This past quarter has been full of struggles and achievements, but overall, I have enjoyed this experience to the fullest. I recently started working at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where I've been learning about animal research and specific rodent service techniques. In the future, I hope to apply to a lab position where I'll be able to learn more formal research procedures. My family and I are very grateful to Kirkland Rotary for the aid provided to me.
