On April 1, Rotarians welcomed former member Dr. Susan Cohn back into the club's ranks, and as the club's first member added under the spouse/partner membership category. Sue is a life-long Washingtonian and Kirkland resident for 22 years. She was an educator for 47 years, serving as a math teacher, track coach, cheer and class advisor, assistant principal and principal and as school/district improvement facilitator in multiple Washington districts.While serving as the principal of Juanita High School, Sue joined and served the club for over five years with the support of then-superintendent Dr. Bud Scarr, leaving membership when her husband, Gary, accepted a job in Port Angeles. Sue has served as a board member and president for both the Sno-Isle and Clallam County Library systems, as a King County Library Foundation board member, a Port Angeles Food Bank board member and volunteer, and as a member of Kirkland Planning Commission. She earned bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from the University of Washington.
