Angelyiah Lim is a hardworking Juanita High School senior who always strives to do her best. In her personal life, Angelyiah enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, reading books, writing music, and working out. At school, she actively volunteers and makes an effort to stay connected with her classmates and teachers. She is the co-founder of the Awareness for Homelessness club chapter, which has raised thousands of dollars and donated hundreds of sanitary kits to local homeless shelters; the president of the National Honor Society; a swim captain for the girls’ team; and a Safe School Ambassador.Angelyiah is also a five-time state finalist and international qualifier for HOSA – Future Health Professionals. Once she graduates, Angelyiah plans to major in biology, specifically human physiology. She is excited to study abroad, engage in scientific research, and participate in philanthropic student organizations such as Global Brigades, where she will have the opportunity to provide sustainable access to healthcare to citizens in economically disadvantaged countries. After medical school, she hopes to become a pediatric infectious disease physician, providing direct medical services to children in underserved communities. Angelyiah was awarded a Kirkland Rotary Scholarship.
