Seattle 4 Rotary Education Committee co-chair Lori Walker invited club members to attend an important event about literacy on January 23, 2024, at the Seattle Central Library. The Seattle 4 Club goals for the event are:Fostering Fellowship and Unity: The event aims to bring together District 5030 Rotarians, their friends, and family, allowing attendees to connect and unite in a people-oriented action.
Raising Awareness: The event will raise awareness about the lifelong and generational impacts of illiteracy among Rotarians, emphasizing the issue's urgency.
Inspiring Action: Through the screening of "Sentenced" and a subsequent panel discussion featuring local experts and community leaders, the event will empower Rotarians to take action by volunteering their time and resources to help bridge the education gap between higher-income and at-risk students in the region.
