Duck Dash Official Rules
1. A maximum of 6,000 ducks will be entered into this race.
2. Ducks will race inside the swimming area at Marina Park in Kirkland Washington, or an alternate venue selected by the committee and published on the Rotary Club of Kirkland website. (www.kirklandrotary.org)
3. The race will begin at approximately 2:00 p.m., or another time announced by the committee on the Rotary Club of Kirkland website. The race committee reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to postpone or reschedule the event due to inclement weather, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the committee's control.
4. Each single Adoption Certificate Lucky Duck Number will have one duck entered into the race, and each Discount Ticket shall have five ducks entered into the race. Each duck shall be "branded", that is, assigned a randomly generated number which will be affixed to each duck.
5. Prizes shall be awarded in order of finish of the branded ducks. The branded number will be correlated to the Adoption Certificate Lucky Duck Number and the person named thereupon.
6. Winning Adoption Certificate Lucky Duck Numbers will be posted on the Rotary Club of Kirkland's website. Winners will be notified by U.S. Mail or by telephone, and do NOT need to be present to win. A list of winners will be available from the Rotary Club of Kirkland upon request by sending an envelope with your return address and adequate postage to the address below. (The prior year --2021-- winners are posted to the club's website.)
7. No cash equivalent prizes will be awarded in lieu of non-cash prizes. Some prizes are restricted to certain geographic areas. Any and all taxes and similar fees, including but not limited to state and federal taxes where applicable, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
8. This event is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited.
