Business & Accounting Scholarship
Kirkland Rotary Business & Accounting Scholarship
This scholarship is scholarship is sponsored by Rick & Stephanie Walter, Hutchison & Walter CPAs, and James Nevers for a student planning a business major, preferably in accounting, at an accredited college or university. The scholarship is a one-time award of $3,500. One “Kirkland Rotary Business & Accounting Scholarship” may be awarded in 2025. The eligibility criteria are:
- Financial need (demonstrated through a valid USED Student Aid Report [SAI] summary report, or written statement declaring financial need);
- Academic promise (demonstrated through the transcript and letter of recommendation);
- Record of school or community service, especially leadership, and promise of societal contribution (demonstrated through the essay and letter of recommendation);
- Currently enrolled as a senior at the Lake Washington School District’s Lake Washington High School; and
- Plans to attend a college major in business administration at an accredited college or university (preferably but not necessarily with an emphasis in accounting) in the state of Washington.
