Kirkland Rotary Diversity Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship is sponsored by Drs. Gary and Susan Cohn for a student of color who demonstrated diversity-related leadership in school and community.  The scholarship is a one-time award of $1,150 to be added to one of the Kirkland Rotary Scholarships.  Two “Kirkland Rotary Diversity Leadership Scholarships” may be awarded in 2024.  The eligibility criteria are:
 
  • Self-identified during high school as a member of one or more minority groups (i.e., Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, or American Indian/Alaska Native descent);
  • Currently enrolled as a senior at the Lake Washington School District’s Lake Washington High School;
  • Selection for a Kirkland Rotary Scholarship award during the 2024 cycle;
  • Plans to attend a community or technical college in the state of Washington; and
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for a Kirkland Rotary Scholarship as listed above.
