Morgan Scholarship
Charles O. Morgan Communications Scholarship
This scholarship is named for a former publisher of the East Side Journal newspaper. The scholarship is a one-time award of $3,000. One “Charles O. Morgan Communications Scholarship” may be awarded in 2024, and will be awarded in lieu of one of the Kirkland Rotary Scholarships. The eligibility criteria are:
- Financial need;
- Academic promise;
- Record of school or community service;
- Promise of societal contribution;
- Plan a college major in Communications, i.e., Journalism, Theater Arts, English Literature, or Public Relations & Advertising; and
- Currently enrolled as a senior at the Lake Washington School District’s Lake Washington High School; and
- Plans on attending an accredited higher education institution in the United States.
