Subhasheni Venkatesh describes herself as a resilient problem solver with a high-priority goal of pursuing a degree in computer science. Inspired by her parents' achievements in the tech industry, she’s immersed herself in the world of programming, hoping to use these skills to meaningfully impact others around her. A significant challenge Subhasheni faced was learning to balance school and life, but through resilience and communication, noting she was able to get the help she needed to achieve balance. Subhasheni is the Girls Who Code treasurer, Indian American Community Services secretary, and National Honor Society mentor and tutor. She supports her peers by planning community events, fundraisers, hackathons, managing club funds, taking attendance, and planning meetings. Outside of school, she volunteers at Radiance Learning Academy as an unpaid basic math tutor for preschoolers and kindergarteners. During the summers, she dedicates time to learning and focusing on her passions by participating in the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program (SIP), where she learned p5js*. Subhasheni presented her work to members of Moody's, Inc., and participated in the Kode With Klossys Web Development program where she learned how to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build dynamic websites.
