Student of the Month November 2023
Lake Washington High School
Erisa Baba describes herself as compassionate: Her care for humans drives her toward success. She plans to go to college to sharpen her skills and strengths, thereby providing services more effectively to people in need. Erisa hopes to design structures or technologies that will benefit people. One challenge Erisa has faced is time management; she sometimes forgets to find time for herself. Erisa says among her accomplishments is achieving two Boston Architectural College Summer Academy badges, including the Digital Design Basics Badge that certifies she has mastered 3D software. She also earned the Summer Academy Foundations Badge attesting that she has more than 60 hours of hands-on design and exercises. Erisa also earned GPA Gold Level Awards her freshman, sophomore, and junior years, and a 4.0 Honors Designation her freshman and sophomore years. She has also been a Lake Washington High School girls' varsity soccer team member all four years of high school. Erisa is involved in her community as a soccer coach, working with kids to improve their discipline and soccer skills. She also provides services to the Bellevue College Disability Resource Center and when she can, she helps her classmates as a peer tutor.
