Community Services, School and Neighborhood Resource programs
Corporal John Ness and Officer Tiffany Trombley will present to Rotarians a presentation detailing the work of and plans for the Kirkland Police Department’s Community Services Unit.  Rotary members will learn about the status of the School Resources Officer program expansion, the Neighborhood Resource Officers program, and the Mental Health Professionals resulting from passage of 2018 Proposition in 2018. Corporal Ness joined the Kirkland Police Department in 2011, after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a MS in Criminal Justice, and from the University of Washington with a BA in English.  Corporal Ness worked in the Patrol Division until the start of 2020, when he transferred to Community Services Unit.  He currently serves as the School Resource Officer supervisor, and works as a School Resource Officer at Kirkland Middle School.  Corporal Ness lives in Bothell with his wife and two young sons.
 
Officer Trombley joined the Kirkland Police Department in 2010, moving to Kirkland from the Des Moines Police Department where she had served as a police officer since 2008.  She earned a BS in Criminal Justice, and is completing her ME in Clinical Psychology.  Officer Trombley had worked in Kirkland’s Patrol Division and Training Division before becoming a Neighborhood Resource Officer.  Officer Trombley grew up in the state of Washington, is married, and enjoys her three children.
