The club’s board of directors met on Thursday, April 15. Highlights included another update on progress of plans for the Duck Dash during Kirkland's Oktoberfest in September, which will include new ticket purchase options, one named the Duck Dash Double Down; updates on the plans to move to "hybrid" meetings combining Zoom access and in-person attendance at The Woodmark Hotel, and work with the city's parks department staff to overcome the community service challenges presented by social distancing necessary during the pandemic.In addition, the board discussed the speaker series plans through June; heard the foundation report that the club is still just one donation away from achieving the Rotary International 100% participation goal; and received an update on the scholarship program progress, which is now in the interview phase.
