President Dave DeBois announced on August 23 that, due to business volume and staffing concerns caused by the pandemic, The Woodmark Hotel catering group will cease service on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. During subsequent communication with Woodmark management, President Dave learned of the hotel's decision to raise dinner rates to the range of $80 - $100 per person. Discussions are underway regarding other venues, and the possible need to change the club’s meeting night. President Dave will announce the meeting plan as soon as an alternative (whether temporary or permanent) is found. If club members wish to suggest alternative venues for club meetings, please send suggestions to the club's email account: kirklandrotaryclub@gmail.com. Using this club account will facilitate the entire board of directors staying informed about suggestions and venue search progress as messages are distributed. Rotarians should plan to return to virtual meetings via the Zoom platform until a new location is announced. The Zoom meeting information has been placed once again on the club's homepage and just underneath the Spokesman masthead.
