The club’s board of directors met on Thursday evening, September 19, 2024 at the Banner Bank offices in Bellevue. Highlights included discussion about the status of outstanding club dues payments, the new budget reports from QuickBooks, the election of a new treasurer, approval of revised signature authorities, approval of a revision to the club's bylaws for finance, approval of an application to the foundation board for a grant of $10,000, and reports from various officers and committee chairs.
 
Directors reviewed a statement of financial position (balance sheet) and statement of activity (income statement) for the months of July and August, noting a few minor items needing journal entries to conclude the process; approved the adoption of Resolution 2024-02, Signature Authority, to update the bank authorizations; agreed not to hold a regular meeting on October 7 if the Kirkland Rotary Foundation board elects to move the gala/auction from Oct. 7 to Oct. 14 or another date; agreed the details of a $10,000 grant application to the Kirkland Rotary Foundation board to supplement existing resources for the community service, international service, and youth service committees; agreed upon holding an in-person vote on venue selection during the Sept. 23 regular meeting; approved two prospective members for recommendation to the membership for admission to membership and closed the application of another prospective member; and approved the purchase of an iPad to improve the club's meeting communication capacity.
