Join your fellow Rotary Club of Kirkland members this coming Monday evening to welcome Rotary District 5030 Governor Kaj Pedersen to the club. District Governor Kaj, who is a member of the Bellevue Breakfast Club, will provide Kirkland membership with an update on the activities of the District, which encompasses the Seattle metropolitan area and many surrounding communities in Washington state. Kaj is an executive with 30 years of experience in data and broad-based software services with a record of success in setting strategic directions and leading teams to reach challenging goals. Currently, Kay manages a team with over 200 years of data science for AstrumU. His specialties include strategic planning, product development, operations leadership, technology leadership, profitability improvement, business start-ups, organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.
Kaj is a published leader in the data industry, featured in periodicals and journals such as Gold: Seattle’s Once and Future Element of Innovation, STP: Current trends driving investment and how to deploy a strategic plan without disrupting business operations, Bold Innovation Predictions for 2019, and Healthcare's "Big Data" Conundrum. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and certified as a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Information Systems Practitioner. Kaj holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Wolverhampton, an MBA in Global Management, and attended the Wharton School LGT Academy.
