Rotarians Welcome New Members
At the club's September 18 meeting, Rotarians will welcome and induct Michelle Cazeau, who joined the club this month along with Kate Koslosky and Peter Peaquin, who will be inducted in October.

Michelle moved to Washington last year from Massachusetts. Her education includes a degree from Boston College and graduate certificates from Harvard University, and plans for an M.B.A. in Global Studies. Her parents taught her the value of community, service, and faith, and she's been volunteering teaching first time home buying classes and financial literacy, as well as participating in Habitat of Greater Boston. Michelle is a business banker with Banner Bank.

Kate’s been in the business lending industry for 25+ years, mainly in SBA loans. She moved to Washington in February of this year. She loves to bike, golf, hike, fish, and ski. She was the campaign manager for a friend who ran for Solvang City Council and for Mayor. She comes to Kirkland from the Rotary Club of Los Olivos, and her family involvement in Rotary includes a son who attended RYLA and her father who is a Rotarian.

Peter was raised on the east coast, went to law school in New Orleans, and moved to Seattle 32 years ago. His wife, Patty, grew up in Bellevue. Peter was a defense attorney before serving as a district court commissioner, and is now a health law judge for the Washington Department of Health. Patty and Peter have lived in Kirkland for several years, most recently in a downtown Kirkland condominium.

Please welcome these new members to service through Rotary.
Rotary's Four-Way Test
Scholarship Spotlight: Haley Parent
During her senior year, Hailey Parent was the vice president and treasurer of the Juanita High School National Honor Society. In those roles, she manages a club of 250+ members as well as organized donation drives, club volunteer events, and planned an annual community event in collaboration with various Juanita clubs and organizations. Haley was a varsity swimmer for the Girls Swim and Dive team for four years and attended KingCo competition twice with the team. Haley served as the head manager for Juanita Ravens Wrestling where she scored, managed inventory, and traveled with the team. After graduation, Haley will attend Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to study health sciences and physical therapy. She is one of only forty students accepted into the PT program nationwide. Haley notes she grew up volunteering and has always had a desire to serve. Eventually, she aims to create an environment of compassionate workers, eager to rehabilitate and care for athletes and underrepresented groups in need of rehabilitation. Haley is a recipient of a $2,500 Rotary Club of Kirkland Scholarship.
Membership Photos & Profiles
Rotarian, is your membership photo current?  Can new members recognize you from your photo?  Is your membership profile up-to-date?  Let’s make sure our new Rotarians can recognize us in the club photo directory.  If your photo isn’t an easily viewed “head shot” as the photographers say, we’ll crop it for you!  If your photo isn’t relatively current, please update it (we can help with that as well!).  The profile update request sent to you last week makes it easy to check your photo, phone numbers, and addresses to make sure they are correct.  Get in touch with the club's webmaster if you need any assistance bringing your data current.
