Club Meeting Structure Survey Results
During this month, 29 of 36 active club members, an 81% response rate, answered a survey regarding the three-per-month club meeting structure trial held during February through April. Ten questions were posed to club members, and opportunities to offer comments were included.
Most members responding think the trial meeting structure seems to be working (55%). None of the members responding indicated that keeping the three-per-month structure will influence them to leave the club; 82% indicated it won’t affect their decision to remain a member.

A fifth of the respondents would like to change to in-person-only meetings, a fifth would like to drop the online meetings and move to two-per-month, and about a third of the respondents prefer change the fourth Monday to a regular committee meeting day.

Members overwhelmingly prefer Monday dinner meetings, but most are open to Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and lunch meetings as alternatives. Three-quarters of the members responding prefer quarterly social events.

There were a few comments about the current venue, SOI Thai Restaurant & Bar, but there were no questions directed at venue in this survey.

Dinner Ticket Refunds Issued
Rotary Dinner Ticket balances collectively worth $1,653 have be refunded by checks mailed to eleven Rotarians' home addresses. Rotary Dinner Ticket sales were suspended when the club moved to SOI Thai Restaurant & Bar for in-person meetings. Because the restaurant charges each attendee based on his or her dinner order, the Dinner Tickets are no longer useful for meal purchases. For questions about the Dinner Ticket refunds, contact the club's treasurer, Jim Meniketti.
April Special Board Meeting Highlights
The club’s board of directors held a special meeting after the regular club meeting on Monday, April 10, 2023, via Zoom. The single purpose special meeting was solely to address needed revisions to the club's bylaws. The bylaws committee compared the old versions of bylaws to the current recommended language and required elements provided by Rotary International, and proposed extensive changes to the board. Board members reviewed the revisions article by article and section by section, making several changes to the proposed language revisions. An updated draft will be prepared for the regular April board meeting scheduled on April 20, 2023. The board meeting schedule is published in the club's Calendar. Rotarians may view board meeting minutes from this special meeting and the April regular meeting later this month on the Board Minutes page, which requires a log-in. A link also may be found at the bottom of The Spokesman.
