The board of directors has approved membership surveys to gather information on the club members' preferences on a number of topics. The first survey will be a very short, four-question questionnaire on the topic of club meeting day, time, and cost preferences.
Based on the opinions expressed by several club members, the survey seeks to stimulate thinking and broaden consideration of when the club meets as the board considers alternatives to meeting at The Woodmark Hotel, which has been the meeting location for decades. Every club member is encouraged to respond so that the board understands more fully the inclinations of members.
The club’s board of directors met on Thursday, October 21, using the Zoom platform. Highlights include a lengthy discussion of the options available for meeting locations, and the potential for improving the club's accessibility to current and new members through moving to a combination of Zoom and activity or event-centered meetings each month. Meeting venue trials are expected to be at the Courtyard by Marriott in November, at the Wilde Rover Irish Public House in December, and the TechCity Bowl in January. Two meetings at each site are planned, to be scheduled on the first two Mondays of each month.
