The Rotary Club of Kirkland held a meeting on June 20, 2023 at The Bravern Apartments in Bellevue for the annual Leadership Transition Ceremony and Dinner.

President Amy Mutal called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.

President Amy led us in the pledge.

The Rotary Club of Kirkland held a club-wide rummage sale all-teams meeting on June 21, 2023 using the Zoom platform.

 

The meeting came to order at 6:00 p.m.

Jim is setting up the credit card readers tomorrow. They are doing okay on the 30% people who responded for cashing and pricing. 

 

Dave asks how many cashiers do we have? Jim notes 6 people as CC cashiers. They all agreed to be there. Dan, and three other people will do a task for cashiering: Scott Becker, Bob Auslander, and Margie Glenn as cash tent volunteers. Bob and Margie volunteered for pricing, too.

Rotary oenologists alert! A limited number of wine club member tickets are available to Rotary club members to join the Walla Walla Vintners team at Kirkland's Woodmark Hotel on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This special invitation is extended to Kirkland Rotarians as if we were Walla Walla Vintners wine club members. Only 20 tickets at the special club price are available to Rotary club members.   

The Rotary Club of Kirkland will be holding meetings at the Madison House facility in Totem Lake. The Rotary board decided to hold two in-person meetings, the first on Monday, July 17, and the second on Monday, August 7, to develop a sense of the venue and the menu. Menu specifics, including refreshments, and dinner pricing is being arranged and will be reported in an upcoming edition of The Spokesman.

Rotary dues statements were sent to all active members on June 1, 2023.  Payments are due by Friday, June 30, 2023. Reminder statements were emailed on June 15 and June 26 to all Rotarians with outstanding accounts. As of June 26, over eight-tenths of the way through the month, 68% of club members have paid their dues. Eleven members have not renewed their membership for next year. Please remember that nonpayment of dues jeopardizes membership in the Rotary club. Dues may be paid using the online Dues & Billing System link in the invoice emailed on June 1. The link is embedded in the bold words "Pay Now" in the invoice. Online payment requires a credit or debit card. Members may also pay by check through the U.S. Mail.
