October Women Business Leaders Series
National and local economic projections and the current business climate remain hot news topics.  How businesses are coping during the pandemic and what the future holds in a post-pandemic environment are topics of considerable interest. Our October program theme is the perspectives of local women business leaders.  Several will address their experiences in their respective businesses, and their views on future prospects.  On October 5, the speaker is Chapman Fina of Via Lago on Lake Street; on October 12 it's Anne Hess, publisher of Kirkland Living magazine; on October 19, Kate Vitasek of Vested Outsourcing; and on October 26, Melissa Acton-Buzard of Chameleon Technologies with address the Rotary club.  Thanks to Dave DeBois for this speaker series.  Find topic and speaker background via the club website's Speakers tab.

November Program Series Sneak Peak
National, state, and local elections are held in November, and there is a lot to discuss across the political leadership spectrum. During November, Rotarians will be treated to the views of several professionals who are deeply involved in politics and government on several levels.  The Politics & Elections Series will include notable professionals in the field such as Karen Waters, president of Strategies 360, a major political consulting firm in the region, Jerry Cornfield, long-time political reporter for the Daily Herald (the parent paper to our Kirkland Reporter), and Dr. Glennys Young, a Russia and Soviet Union historian and chair of the University of Washington's Jackson School of International Studies.  Stay tuned for further developments as this November series unfolds.
