Dave DeBois reminded us of Bunco at the Shinstroms’ on April 9.  Food sign-ups are on line.  Mr. DeBois also recounted our joint meeting at the Flatstick Pub Tuesday last with the Rotary Club of Kirkland Downtown.  He filled us in on the continuing work being done by Vital Solutions with Ukrainian refugees in Rumania.  So far, our club has raised $3,500 – $4,000 for this work.

New Badges to be Conferred April 11
Don't miss the April 11 meeting! Old badges will be retired and new badges conferred on all of the members present. In addition, Rotary official photographer George Anderson will be set up to take new photos for club members whose photos have "aged out" and for club members whose profiles do not have a photo included. Over the past year, the club's board of directors reviewed badge options for club members and confirmed the selection of rectangular, blue, six-line badges (see Past President James Nevers' badge at right) to replace the aging round badges used for decades. The board also reviewed existing and proposed classifications for our Rotarians, which are to be assigned at acceptance into the club's membership. Badges for every active club member were order from the Russel Hampton Company, and have arrived!
Duck Dash Summerfest Update
President Dave DeBois reminds Rotarians that the 2022 Duck Dash will be held during Kirkland's Summerfest, which is July 29-31, 2022 this year.  Rotarians will want to save the date, Sunday, July 31, 2022, which is now confirmed by the Summerfest organizers for the Great Puget Sound Duck Dash.

Duck Dash 2022 preparations are now underway.  Scott Becker has begun gathering commitments from Kirkland businesses and club members for Duck Dash sponsorships.  Rotarian Brett Johnson has again made space available for the annual Racing Duck Branding Party, which will be held this year on Monday, July 25, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Lee Johnson Auto Family campus. President Dave and Mr. Becker are asking club members to step up and answer the call for assistance with coupon sponsors and prizes. Please contact Dave or Scott with your commitments or referrals of commitments.
Rotary's Four-Way Test
Club Attendance for March 2022
The club held four meetings during March 2022, one of which was a special meeting to join with other area Rotary clubs at Flatstick Pub in support of a fund raising effort to aid refugees of the war in Ukraine. Overall club attendance for the month was 41.7%. This represents a slight increase over February attendance of 40.5%.
Bulletin Readership for March 2022
Club members' readership of the bulletin, The Spokesman, took a dip early in March, but rebounded for the balance of the month. The bulletin is delivered through the ClubRunner system, addressed to the primary email provided by each Rotarian. Blocked or bounced emails are investigated and, hopefully, cleared by the webmaster. For most of March the bulletin received a 100% delivery rate. Readership rates ranged from 57% to 73%. A bulletin is "read" when the email containing it is opened by the recipient.
