Margie Glenn is a leader in our Rotary Club's Scholarship Program. Last year, Margie co-funded the Diversity Leadership scholarships for students attending Lake Washington and Juanita high schools. A retired CPA, Margie also co-funded the Business & Accounting scholarship.
Both scholarships were for students who demonstrate financial need, academic promise, a record of community service, leadership, and who promise societal contribution. The diversity scholarships focus on members of one or more ethnic groups recognized by the state, and the business scholarship focuses on students intending to pursue an accounting or business major. The first recipients of the diversity scholarships were Tiffany Zang, who graduated from Lake Washington High School, and Emily Le, who graduated from Juanita High School. No one was awarded a business scholarship in 2020.Margie Glenn and her co-sponsors continued both scholarships in 2021, and made them available to all of the eligible Lake Washington high schools. Thank you to Margie Glenn for exemplary support of the Rotary Club of Kirkland Scholarship Program.
