The Rotary Club of Kirkland held a meeting on March 6, 2023 at SOI Thai Restaurant & Bar.

President Amy Mutal called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.

Kirkland Rotarians will gather at the home of Rotarian Joanne Primavera to prepare lunch for twenty residents of Helen's Place in Kirkland. A program of The Sophia Way, Helen’s Place provides a safe and stable space for women experiencing homelessness to rest and heal. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,  offering women the care and comfort they need, while being supported in navigating their individual journey to stability and housing. Rotarians may join Dr. Primavera for the cooking event by registering through the calendar item on the club's website.

In our quest to continue the current Kirkland Rotary 2023 reboot on meetings, venues, and most of all FUN, the club is holding a pre-St. Patrick's day fun social on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Shinstrom home.  Nothing fancy ... we are just going to eat, drink, and have FUN FUN FUN ... If you can attend, please bring something small to share, such as an appetizer or dessert or something similar ... and maybe your favorite beverage for the evening. Also, please wear something green!!!  Please let Steve Shinstrom know if you are attending so his team has a sense of how many members and their guests will participate in the social.

The members of the Rotary Club of Kirkland approved an updated constitution at their March 6, 2023 regular meeting. President Amy Mutal presented the revised constitution and explained that Rotary International requires each club adopt the club constitution approved by the Rotary International Board of Directors.

At their March 6 meeting, the members of the Rotary Club of Kirkland approved a revision to Article XI, Method of Electing Members, of the club's bylaws, which established corporate membership in the club. The board's committee on corporate membership proposed the bylaws revision and an accompanying dues schedule after researching recommended language and dues structures through Rotary International, and consulting with the District 5030 governor and area clubs.
